"Let us not allow this season of grace to  pass in vain! Let us ask God to help us set out on a path of true conversion."

- Pope Francis

"As   Lent   is   the   time   for   greater
love,   listen   to   Jesus' thirst...'     Repent  and  believe'  Jesus  tells us. What are we to  repent? Our  indifference, our hardness   of    heart.     What  are  we  to  believe?   Jesus   thirsts   even  now,   in  your heart  and  in  the  poor - He knows
your  weakness.  He wants  only your love,  wants only the chance to love you."

- Blessed Teresa of Calcutta

A Message from our Faith Formation Team 2020-21

Hello Families!

Welcome to our new St. Josephine Bakhita Faith Formation website for 2020-2021. This website is designed for families and students in grades pre-K through Grade 10 including those
preparing for the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation.

While we will be meeting virtually at least for the first half of the year, we are enjoying the chance to bring new ideas and resources and to share our faith together with all of you.

We have been putting various resources together to share with you on a monthly basis via Zoom enhanced with activities that you and your children can do together.

As the year progresses we hope to meet in small groups for special events but in the present
environment, we need to take one day at a time.

Please reach out to us at any time with any
questions or concerns you may have as we navigate this new virtual journey together in faith!

Email us with any questions at reo@sjbrh.org or call us at 860-529-1274.

God Bless You All!

Your Faith Formation Team,
Monica, Beth, Carol, Linda, and Lori

GOALS FOR
 2020-21

The purpose of catechesis is to cultivate an encounter with Christ not merely an education about doctrine.

On the lips of the catechist, the first proclamation must ring out over and over - Jesus Christ loves you, he gave his life to save you and now He is living at your side every day to enlighten, strengthen and free you."

Meet the Team

Our team of dedicated faith formation staff is on board to help guide, teach, and pave the path for your children to experience the higher power of God's love. Parent and guardian support is important in this lifelong journey of faith by supporting the catechists (teachers), making sure students attend every class, and also attend church on a regular basis.
